About the Gingko Print by Nini Marini
The Gingko print was inspired by the ancient healing gingko tree. It’s fan-like shape has been the source of much inspiration to many designers and is often interpreted in decorative crafts, accessories and more. Marini fell in love with their beautiful bright golden leaves often seen during the fall and wanted to express this as a kind of batik motif. She has also taken cue from batik print by incorporating classic dots and decorative ferns to create movement and life. The blue, a soft cobalt is used to reflect the bright sky it dances in.
